The Role

The People Partner provides expert technical human resource advice to support their portfolio of stakeholders in effectively managing their people to achieve change and business outcomes. In addition, the People Partner will enable people manager capability through ongoing advice, support and coaching as well as contributing to key People Team projects that enhance the Montu employee experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate as a business partner to deliver technical and strategic human resource advice across a range of areas such as workforce planning, performance management, issue resolution, human resource programs, and policy
  • Build collaborative stakeholder relationships with front-line team leaders and mid-level management that ensure cooperation and commitment to achieve effective people strategies and programs
  • Identify and deliver human resources initiatives in partnership with the Head of Talent and People to build performance that supports people and business objectives
  • Delivery and management of cyclical human resource processes including performance reviews, annual salary reviews etc
  • Partner with the business to provide end-to-end advice and support for change management initiatives to support continual improvement and cultural alignment
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders to develop awareness of human resource policies, to promote compliance and facilitate best practice outcomes and mitigate risk
  • Management and coordination of visa and sponsorship requirements, including ensuring compliance and documentation is maintained
  • Actively support the implementation and roll out of new and cyclical initiatives such as the performance management system, annual review process, engagement surveys and new processes and policies
  • Participate in the development, implementation and review of human resources policies and procedures in line with legislative and business requirements
  • Share knowledge as part of a multi-disciplinary team, sharing lessons learnt facilitating cross-learning and mentoring team members to build technical expertise and best practice

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or equivalent is essential
  • 4+ years of experience at a HR Advisor level in a generalist role, with previous HR Business Partner experience
  • High level knowledge of HR legislation, policies, practices and strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong tech acumen including significant experience managing a national paperless centralised HR function
  • A flexible, pragmatic and creative approach, redefining problems in light of information gathered or changes in contect
  • Experience in the development and delivering of professional development initiatives
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, continuously changing environment
