Midwinter’s digital advice framework seamlessly interacts with our flagship AdviceOS platform, enabling advisers to deliver quality advice at a lower cost and greater scale, and providing a new way for advisers to engage with their clients.

About The Team

As part of the core development team, you will be working on AdviceOS - an award-winning application for financial advisers. You will be involved in the design and development of solutions that span the entire tech stack front to back.

Other main activities will include:

 

 

  • Strong understanding of software design patterns
  • Ability to write high-quality, reliable code with security and scalability in mind
  • An understanding of the array of threats and vulnerabilities that characterize modern cybersecurity.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Respond to bug reports and debug production issues across the entire platform.
  • Use your experience to offer new improvements to current processes
  • Ongoing maintenance of the codebase to ensure continuous improvement

 

Unleash your potential

To be successful in this role, your background and experience will include:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in similar role
  • Experience participating in the delivery of security aspects for technical projects
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns
  • Ability to write high-quality, reliable code with security and scalability in mind
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Respond to bug reports and debug production issues across the entire platform.
  • Familiarity with the key technologies listed below would be a plus but we are more interested in general software development experience, the ability to solve problems and pick up new technologies quickly:
  • C#, WebAPI, SQL Server and Entity Framework
  • Web development using Angular 8, Typescript, Breeze.js, HTML, CSS and Typescript/Javascript
  • Web Services using REST, SOAP
  • SQL, Entity-Relationship (ER) design and Relational Databases concepts
