  • ELIGIBLE - Australian Citizens Only
  • LENGTH - 12 Month Contract (with up to 24 Months of extensions available)

About The Role

As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in fostering agile values, principles, and methodologies within our project team. Collaborating closely with the team, you will be instrumental in developing a shared social contract, guiding team behaviors, and ensuring adherence to agile processes. You will facilitate essential agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, all while working to remove impediments and keep the team focused on its objectives.

Your skills in negotiation and stakeholder management will be critical in safeguarding the team from external influences that might hinder its progress. You will forge strong connections with product owners and stakeholders to manage dependencies effectively and ensure alignment with project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture a culture of agile excellence within the team.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and events, encouraging active participation.
  • Identify and eliminate blockers and impediments to maintain team focus.
  • Collaborate with other teams to manage dependencies and enhance collaboration.
  • Support conflict resolution and team cohesion while driving performance improvements.
  • Cultivate an environment of trust and open communication.
  • Stay updated on agile trends and industry developments to enhance the team's methodologies.
  • Enable self-management and self-organization within the team.
  • Drive workplace practice improvements and assist in managing change transitions.

Skills And Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following SFIA Skills levels (or similar):

  • SFIA Skills: Measurement (MEAS) - Level 4,
  • Methods and Tools (METL) - Level 3,
  • Organizational Facilitation (OFCL) - Level 4,
  • Performance Management (PEMT) - Level 4,
  • Project Management (PRMG) - Level 4,
  • Release and Deployment (RELM) - Level 3.

Ability To

Employ effective servant leadership methods, utilize agile methodologies to enhance team performance, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, identify and resolve problems, foster a culture of continuous improvement, build and maintain stakeholder relationships, identify and mitigate risks in applying agile processes, work independently under limited direction, and collaboratively manage conflicts.
